CLASS DESCRIPTION

Have you completed the Designing with Seed Beads course or perhaps you have experience in beadweaving already, but are looking for the next step up the ladder in the fascinating and adictive world of beadweaving? Look no further. Neva Brown returns to the studio for another 4 week course where you will learn the basic bezel techniques to capture Swarovski Rivolis, Gemstones and Cabochons.

Each week you will create pieces that you can wear on their own, or, combine to create a standout piece of jewellery. Limited places are available in what is sure to be a popular course.

SKILL PREREQUISITE

A basic understanding of bead weaving techniques such as RAW, Peyote, Ndebele, CRAW and Netting is required. If you have completed Level 1 - Designing with Seed Beads, you will be able to confidently continue with this Level.

WHAT TO BRING AND MATERIAL FEE

A materials fee of $25 is payable for your week 1 project. Please bring correct change; cash only and payable directly to your teacher on the day.

Subsequent bead kit fees for week 2-4 will  be advised the week before and will vary depending on the project and bead type. Allow $25-$35 per week.

Please bring with you, your basic beading toolkit; this is required each week. Your toolkit should include:

Beading Mat

Beading Needes, size 12, long and short

Fireline 6lb smoke OR Nymo Thread B Black

Scissors

Lighter

Flat nosed pliers x 2

Looping pliers

Graph paper - 2mm grid

Lamp ( if needed).

GENERAL INFORMATION

OH&S protocols at SJS require all students to wear closed in shoes and for long hair to be tied back. We recommend that glasses are worn instead of contact lenses and minimal jewellery is worn in a studio environment.
