CLASS DESCRIPTION

THIS CLASS WILL BE HELD AT SJS NEW PREMISES IN PARRAMATTA.

LOCATION IS WITHIN EASY WALKING DISTANCE OF THE RAILWAY STATION.

Polymer clay has come a long way in its relatively short lifespan. The past 30 odd years have seen its popularity grow as artists discovered its incredible versatility. The added advantages of a low cost medium, able to be baked in a home oven without a kiln made it very attractive to the wider artist movement.

This is a hands-on workshop where you'll make earrings or jewellery components such as pendants or brooch faces, as well as beads in a variety of shapes. Things don't have to be complicated to look great!

This polymer clay class is intended for the complete beginner. Students who have already worked somewhat with polymer clay may find that this course covers material they are already familiar with and should consider additional polymer technique classes.

PREVIOUS STUDENTS HAVE SAID

"This course taught me how to create beautiful beads, how to shape them, how to mix colours and how to create amazing patterns in poymer clay. It was great fun and the techniques were fascinating. Highly recommended for anyone interested in creating their own original beads." Roz Brown

"Awesome day, thanks Sue, you are a true inspiration. The table of examples you had took my breath away and I can see that through practice, time and attention to detail I will eventually get there. I particularly liked the fact that everyone got the same clay but not one bead looked alike. True one offs. Looking forward to your next class now." Terri Grieg
