My Resin workshops are incredibly popular as they introduce you to a wide variety of techniques and skills in an unrushed environment spanning two days.

Make your own fabulous Resin jewellery in this two day workshop. A brief overview of Silicon moulds will be undertaken and a demonstation of a bangle mould set up will occur.

Using pre-made moulds you will learn the techniques for casting with resin, dyeing of resin using pigments and dyes, and inserting inclusions into your jewellery. Finishing techniques will also be demonstrated.

Chunky bangles, pendants and earrings can all be cast. A large number of ready made silicone moulds are used to create, beads, bangles and rings.

Students are encourged to bring a variety of items to the workshops to use in the class.
These items are:-
Pen, Paper, Apron, old work shirt please wear old clothes, Cheap Paint brush medium size, Tweezers, Scissors

Optional
Moulds – items should be flexible not rigid, i.e. muffin silicon baking trays, soft ice cube trays in interesting shapes. Protective eyewear.
Suggested items for inclusions in your resin pieces:- if in doubt, bring it along for checking!
Metal objects in any form, i.e. small packs of screws, nuts, bolts, washers, locks
Small machine parts, clocks, watches, old phones, computers.
Natural or synthetic threads, yarns, ribbons or textiles.
Sticks, dried flowers, dried herbs, spices, tea
Shells, starfish, beads, pebbles
Pieces of coloured glass (frit) or plastic.
Paper, foils, photographs

VERY IMPORTANT: All objects used in a cast MUST be thoroughly dry

As resin requires warm temperatures to cure, this class will only be offered in the warm months (Spring, Summer).
