CLASS DESCRIPTION

Creating your own exotic and unique beads is a firm favourite of polymer artists. There are numerous methods of creating hollow beads, and SJS is pleased to offer this introduction to Christine Dumont's wonderful hollow bead technique.

Learn how to make big, beautiful beads that are completely hollow and extremely light...maximum impact and incredibly comfortable to wear!

The feature beads covered in this class are sleek and elegant, with bright mica stipes that almost seem to glow.

You will also have time to experiment with other designs; the construction approach can be combined with almost any decoration, fitting it smoothly and precisely around the bead's curvature without unwanted distortion.

Methods for achieving a shiny, glassy finish without glosses or varnishes are covered too.

This is an intermediate level class and it is recommended that participants are familiar with basic polymer clay techniques. Beginners are welcome but may not be able to achieve the illustrated level of precision without additional practice.

This class is taught by SJS instructor Sue Fisher with Christine Dumont's kind permission. For information on Christine's online classes and European workshops, please visit her website at http://www.allovercreation.net
