A graphic designer by trade, Heidi has been designing logos, books, documents and typefaces for over 14 years. Always a sewer, stitcher and embroiderier, Heidi did a weaving course in 2016 and it was after that that her obsession with fibre art really took off.

In the last year, Heidi has developed a unique style of weaving, incorporating felt and other unique fibres, all in vibrant colours. She also created a series of ‘fibre paintings’, where mixed fibres are framed inbetween sheets of acrylic.

Heidi combines polymer clay and fibres, culimating in an initial series of ‘Weirdlings’, that include wall art and jewellery pieces.

Heidi enjoys the challenge of mixing materials and creating unique artworks and wearables. In mid-2017, she was part of a group show at The Brunswick Street Gallery along with other prominant fibre artists from around Australia.
