MELINDA YOUNG
 Melinda Young has a Master of Visual Arts from Sydney College of the Arts, University of Sydney and has exhibited extensively in Australia and overseas since 1997. Alongside her individual practice, she has been collaborating with Adelaide based jeweller Lauren Simeoni since 2008. To date their projects have included exhibitions and workshops around Australia, New Zealand and in the USA. In 2014 Melinda curated an exhibition of contemporary Australian jewellery for Atta Gallery in Bangkok, Thailand and undertook a residency in Broken Hill, NSW. This residency has informed her most recent solo exhibition, silver city dreams, which was exhibited in Broken Hill and Sydney during 2015. Melinda’s work is included in the MAAS: Powerhouse Museum’s significant A fine possession : Jewellery and Identity exhibition; held in public collections in Australia and Norway and featured in numerous publications. In addition to her jewellery practice Melinda engages in work as a university lecturer, curator, writer and workshop convenor. Melinda is currently studying a Certificate III in Floristry, furthering her ongoing fascination with flowers and foliage.
