Being creative is very high on Patricks "to do" list. He has expressed his cretivity since a small boy. Being fascinated with threadworkhe began knitting beanies at 10 years old, then went onto crochet, tatting and macrame.
As an adult Patrick turned his hand to pottery, drawing and painting, successfully exhibiting and selling in each media. In 2006 he created a simple beaded macrame wristband for himself and had friends placing orders. This lead him to envestigate other forms of jewellery making. Three years ago, a good friend taught him some beadweaving techniques and this was when Patrick knew he had found his passion.
Patrick sees each jewellery piece as a small work of art with endless possibilities. His experience in thread work, melded into the jewellery making, gives individuality to his creations. His work is displayed and sold in clothing stores, jewllers and galleries in Sydney.
Patrick discovered he also loved sharing his passion with others and seriously began teaching jewellery making in 2009. He is as passionate about jewellery making today as when he first discovered it, if not more!!
We hope you enjoy taking a class with Patrick and discovering for yourself that having this skill can both stand alone as a jewellery making technique or add extra zing to your creations during assembly.
