CLASS DESCRIPTION

Create the latest fashion in rings - stacker rings!

During this 1 day class, you will learn to make a variety of rings that sit together as a fabulous stack on the finger.

Explore a variety of textures and metals that will embellish each ring making a truly unique stack of your own. 

You will be using brass, copper and sterling silver to make your rings.

SKILL PREREQUISITE

Some prior metalwork skills would be beneficial but not necessary.

ESSENTIAL TECHNIQUES COVERED

* Ring bending.

* Ring sizing.

* Texturing metals using hammers.

* Soldering.

* Sanding / polishing / finishing.

WHAT TO BRING AND MATERIAL FEE

* Finepoint permanent marker.

* Sawblades size 3/0 and 5/0 (these are available for purchase at the school)

GENERAL INFORMATION

* OH&S protocols at SJS require all students to wear CLOSED IN shoes, long hair should be tied back. We recommend wearing glasses, not contact lenses during classes and the wearing of minimal jewellery when working in a studio enviornment.
