CLASS DESCRIPTION

Join Chainmaille enthusiast Aileen Gardner for this three hour evening class in chainmaille earrings.   These gorgeous earrings are a modern twist on a classic pattern, combining aluminium scales and jump rings to create fabulous trellis earrings.

SKILL PREREQUISITE

No previous experience necessary.

ESSENTIAL TECHNIQUES COVERED

* Which scales work best?

* Opening and closing jump rings

* Ring sizes vs scale sizes

* Ongoing projects – Pendants, bracelets and necklaces (If time permits, start planning/making them)

WHAT'S INCLUDED?

* Tuition

* Notes (soft copy to be emailed after class)

* The loan of a basic tool kit if required

WHAT TO BRING AND MATERIAL FEE

* Our MATERIALS FEE is NOT included in this class.

* $25.00 is payable to your teacher on the day.

* The finished earrings will be SILVER FROSTED.

* Pen & Notebook

* You are welcome to bring your own pliers if you have them.  Flat/chain/round/needle nose pliers only, no serrated edges please.

GENERAL INFORMATION

OH&S protocols at SJS requires all students to wear CLOSED IN shoes and for long hair to be tied back. We recommend wearing glasses instead of contact lenses and to wear minimal jewellery in a studio environment.

Knights need to park their horses outside.
